Riviera Rambling - Walking and Hiking on the French Riviera

Riviera Rambling is a site dedicated to walkers, hikers and ramblers who would like to discover or get to know better the beautiful landscape of the French Riviera. There are many published guides in French and in English describing paths of differing degrees of difficulty and length - e.g. the excellent Les Guides Randoxygene available from Tourist Informtion Offices. The other essential tools are the IGN maps 1:25,000 which you can buy separately or as part of a DVD which contains maps of the whole region.

With all these resources at hand why do we need a website? Well the idea of the site is to help promote the region, and its country side and highlight routes that may not be in the published journals. It 's also a means for individuals to share their favourite walks, by logging into the site and posting details, to make it easier for others to follow.
